Today I went out to KDMW to pick up the keys to my hangar and get an airport pass. This hangar is SWEET! The floor is perfect and everything couldn't be better,

When I got home I had some real motivation to work on the project. I needed to terminate the inside of the p-lead to the switch. First I stripped off the shielded wire and soldered on a ground wire.

Once that was done I put some faston connectors on it and connected it to the switch. The switch for the magneto is different from most other switches. When the switch is closed, that grounds out the magneto and turns it off. So this switch has to be flipped from the normal orientation of most of the other switches.

I also wanted to work on the oil temp sensor wire. It was pretty flimsy and way to long. I put some nylon sheathing on it.

And the other end I put on a mini Mate-N-Lok connector I bought from mouser.
