I received my oil analysis back from Blackstone Labs today via E-Mail. This is the second time I have used Blackstone Labs for an oil analysis, and they have exceeded my expectations both times. I sent this sample in on Monday (via UPS, USPS has some known issues with shipping liquids). Two days later I have my analysis. The personalized analysis in the comments section is really nice. For only $25, they go above and beyond what I would expect. This analysis shows some more wear than the prior analysis, however a few things are different. The first is I switched from straight mineral oil to AeroShell 15w50, which explains the higher copper and silicon levels. Also, I took my sample differently. On my first sample, I took the first oil out of the sump. I was told this isn't always the best since I am getting the "sludge" from the bottom of the sump. So this oil change I took the sample mid-stream. It will be interesting to see what the next oil analysis shows.
