I recently picked up a new GoPro Hero3 camera for filming the RV. I've heard great things about the GoPro, but there wasn't a great way to control them remotely. Well the Hero3 introduced the ability to control them from an Apple or Android tablet. Using my iPad, I can easily change the settings, get a preview and turn on/off recording of the Hero3. It simply amazing how small this camera is.  I am working on a mount forward of the leading edge of the vertical stabilizer. I tested the view from here and in 1080p mode, I am easily able to view both wingtips. I am confident this is going to be an awesome place to mount the camera for some great videos!  After I played around with mounting ideas for the GoPro camera, we had an EAA chapter meeting. At the end of the meeting a bunch of us decided to fly over to KFDK for a late lunch.  We took off home just before the sunset. While I didn't get as far as I'd like on the GoPro installation, it was great to get a flight in with good friends.
