I drilled the starter strap that came with the Plane Power alternator with a new 5/16" hole. This strap now works perfectly with the B&C starter. I was going to trim the old hole off of the strap, but it doesn't seem to be interfering with anything.  I used 4 washers to shim the strap to the starter.  I noticed some oil dripping down the back of the engine. Not a lot, but a drip here and there. I attempted to track it down.  The culprit was the vernatherm. Even through it was safety wired (wire was removed before picture was taken), it was loose. I didn't have a socket big enough to tighten it up tonight, but I feel good about tracking down the root cause of the oil drips. I also put the wheelpants back on the plane for a trip I am going to make this weekend. While I still have a lot of filler to put onto the wheelpants, they look GREAT with countersunk screws attaching them.
