One thing I knew needed to be addressed was the mixture arm interfered with the cowling when pushed towards full rich. The left side of the cowl would need to be notched and re-glassed to accommodate this interference.  While I had the bottom cowl, I also enlarged the intake hole for the James air intake.  After a couple of iterations, I came out with a decent hole to for the mixture arm to rotate freely.  Here's another shot. I need to get some clay to make a cover to glass over this with.
