Tonight I started fitting the bottom cowl. The first thing that needs to happen is the gear legs need to be cut into the corners of the bottom cowl. This took a while to figure out how to get these holes in the right spot. In the end I made a paper template to get the shape, and I figured out on the bottom where the gear legs would poke out. A sanding drum on the dremel made this a walk in the park to cut out. This was my second iteration, a bunch of fiberglass needs to be cut away to get this just right. I still have about 5/8" to go so the bottom cowl can pull up over the bottom of the spinner.
