I woke up early this morning to prime the firewall stiffeners, doublers, gussets, etc.. I have been trying to make clean up quicker, so I decided to mix the AKZO in a 16 oz SOLO cup instead of the usual pyrex glass container I use. I have used those little clear 8 oz cocktail cups before to keep AKZO in the fridge and they didn't seem to melt. Well, after about 10 minutes of the AKZO brewing in the SOLO cup, the whole bottom melted off and I had a complete mess on my hands. The only thing that saved my workbench was I mix AKZO on a scrap piece of plywood and that got most of the overflow. So, I went on with 'plan B' which was to use a sealable jar (Pace Picante sauce...Get a rope!). That worked great and cleanup was as simple as putting some acetone in the jar, sealing it up, swishing it around, rinse, repeat..

Anyways, the parts got primed and then I jammed down the road to work on my boat all day to get it ready for the season. Todays mission was the worst part of boat work in my opinion - removing the old bottom paint and putting it back on. After all of the work was done, I decided to be social and hang out with my brother and his friends for the night.

I noticed that Dynon charges me for the heated pitot tube today also....its been 6 weeks since I ordered it, which is 2 weeks longer than they said it would be. Oh well, timing is actually perfect because I am ready to seal up the left wing. If I did get it any earlier, it would of been paid for and sitting around getting dust on it.
