I had a little time tonight to head out to the hangar and take care of some outstanding issues from the first flight. I rigged up a makeshift charging system to charge up the auxiliary battery. Precision offers either a straight or Z-bend (I have no idea what that is) mixture bracket. Originally I thought eh straight bracket would be ideal, but I'm thinking it could interfere with the hardware on the fuel controller now! I will have to take a closer look. I also figured out my issue with the side pins for the lower cowl. Someone I made the original ones out of some aluminum hinge pins. I found some other 1/8" diameter pins that were steel. I fabricated up two new pins and installed them. Wow, what a difference these make. The aluminum pins were all distorted and bent out of shape. These steel ones are straight and strong! I glad this was an easy fix.
