Before the magnetometer can be calibrated, an interference test must be run. I found this in the G3X Installation Manual, which involved a fairly extensive list of items you need to either move and electrical items that need to be toggled.   I underestimated how much work remained today with all of the wiring harnesses. It took an incredible amount of time!  This is my temporary mount for the GAD29.  Some rubber feet and a big-ole zip time around the EFIS MFD.  There was also a pitch/roll level test I was supposed to run so I went through that calibration process.  It doesn't seem like much, but that took all day.
