The only fiberglass/epoxy work I needed to do on all of the fiberglass parts was cover the rivet line on the gear leg fairings with some cloth.

I used 3/4oz cloth. It is nice and thin, and it will keep the rivet heads from ever popping out through the paint.

It's hard to see there's a layer of fiberglass over the rivet lines.

However, when you get close, it's barely there. This will be lightly sanded, and then some light filler will be applier over it tomorrow.
