Tonight I started the process of putting the panel back into the airplane. While it was still in the house, I installed the airspeed indicator, altimeter and the avionics stack.

While access was easy, I drilled a hole in the forward canopy deck for the static line.

I also riveted in the vent braces. They are too fragile to be in the airplane without the panel.

Well it finally happened. I dumped a tray of rivets. Luckily it was from a short chair, so they didn't have far to fall. I suppose this is some sort of milestone.

After some work I screwed in the panel. I also attached all of the switches to the panel, cut down the dimmers, installed the air vents and parking brake. It feels GREAT to put this stuff in for good! Great night.
