I started out today by notching the angle on the top of the panel so it wouldn't interfere with what was installed in the panel. Here is the elevator trim.

And the ELT

And the annunicator lights. You can also see I riveted the angle to the panel.

I had a couple of low spots on the panel, and some of the rivets were low too, so I put some Rage Gold on the panel.

Then sanded it down. Rage Gold is really awesome because of how fast it dries. You can sand it in a hour.

Then I did a first pass at painting the panel. All in all, it turned out pretty good. The temps were about 60 and its late enough in the year I don't have to worry about a lot of bugs flying around.

Hard to see here because of the flash but I have a bunch of pinholes to fill around where I filled the altimeter cutout.

And some random pinhole here. I will fix those two spots, wet sand the panel and give it another shot of JetFlex paint. This was a lot less painless than I thought it would be.
