Today was a big day. My Grand Rapid Sport EFIS's arrived. However, I noticed at work the S200 MFD got a little damaged in shipping. The DB37 connector on the back was crushed and the back panel was pushed in. I called up Sandy at GRT and she said don't worry about it, she is on it.  So I had the S100 MFD to play with at home. I made up a mock power cable for a 12V supply and fired this sucker up. When I saw this my jaw dropped. Both EFIS's were damaged! I gotta say I am a little disappointed in how the GRT stuff was packed. Everything was in one box (engine probes, engine monitor, wire, EFIS's, etc..) with just a little bubble wrap around the EFIS's. With this stuff costing as much as it does, I would of thought it would of at least been packed in foam or packing peanuts. Oh well, all the suspense for nothing.....  Someone on Rivetbangers.com posted this video from Ace Ventura - Pet Detective. I got to say, when I saw it I felt a lot better about my situation! |
