First thing today I deburred the edges of the stiffeners for the right side rudder. This was straightforward, but it took some time. I think I finally got a good system down by the time I got to the last stiffener. Van's recommends setting the rudder skins on top of a towel or plywood to match drill to allow the clecos to go into the table. I didn't like the idea of drilling into a table, so I decided to get some styrofoam blocks I had and support the skins about 3" off the table top with them. It was a breeze drilling the skins this way. Once all of the holes were match drilled, I double checked the stiffener lengths by putting the front spar and rear angle piece in. Everything was trimmed perfect.

Finally, I deburred the holes in the stiffeners and roughed up the alclad finish on them....these puppies are ready to be primed!
